Vintage Bulle Dubuis Bosshard Large White Peacock Bowl in Deep Blue Colour Glaze. Pottery Poterie du Gruyere Switzerland Baumann Gruyeres. Bowl has no signs of Use. At the bottom of the Bowl, some section is missing the glaze (last picture). I think it arose during the production process. Good Vintage Condition. Really beautiful Dish.

Traditional ceramics, Gruyère pottery was created in 1930 by potter Pierre Messerli (1906-1987). He fixed the basic colours with the crane decoration. His studio was located in the Grand'rue in Bulle. He developed his business until 1971, the year of his retirement.

In 1977, Antoinette Dubuis - Bosshard (1951-2003) moved into the Messerli workshop and relaunched the manufacture of Gruyère pottery. It considerably diversified the range of forms. The Gruyère pottery workshop moved to its current premises on rue du Moléson in 1996. The production is ensured by a loyal team of craftsmen from Gruériens led by Pierre Dubuis.
